Hi All!!!!
Just a recap of what has been happening lately at the sanctuary. New grey seal in from Wexford. Alex(Penelope) is a lovely fully molted pup. She has a couple bite wounds and a bit of a "cold" and is on medications and seems to be in good form.
Ebony is still same old same old. Putting on weight and appetite is still good. There still is not much movement of the flippers or body for that matter. Temp continues to stay under norm so we have him under heat most of the time.
Killian"Foggy" seems to be progressing, cloudiness of the cornea looks like it has reduced slightly. He really enjoys his warm baths too!!!
Mango getting ready for release soon. Three cheers Hip Hip hooray!!!! He's been here almost as long as I have!!
Dean's right eye is still infected, even after two weeks on eyedrops. hopefully vet will have an answer as what to do next.
Sonny's flipper is still wrapped up and he is not a very happy camper anytime we go near him. Can't wait for it to heal so he can go back into water and have a bit of comfort!
Pools are doing well. We have Benny, current resident seal, Silver, Lyndsey, and Princess in Loch Emma. Silver eating strangely, almost as if she has an injury in her mouth?? toothache possibly?? Princess and Lyndsey are hoovers and devour large amounts.
C&O has Arin, his flipper looks wonderful, still not eating like a proper grey though, Moran, who looks like he'll be ready for release with the others in Wexford on the 29th.Yippee!!!
